Composing the Team
As the team ventures on the study of the delicacy named “Lihim ni Emilio”, the research team explored about the topic LIHIM NI EMILIO of CAVITE. At first, the research team was divided according to their area of expertise. Patricia Jhane N. Baylon (IV-Oxygen), Kim Denille N. de Leon (IV-Fluorine), Rennard N. Marquez (II- Carbon), Shelley Sundae P. Naparota (I- Nitrogen), Erika A. Opolentisima (II- Oxygen) were in-charge of the blog design and layouts, frames, photo and video editing. On the other hand, Jameika Eilz Mae K. Ramos (IV- Fluorine) and Jestine Jennica R. Cabiles (III- Nitrogen) were given pens and papers for hours and assigned for the write-ups. The research team works together for the progress.
Conceptualizing the Blog
After the research team was ordered and planned, the team immediately began conceptualizing about the schedule of activities, the appearance of the blog, and videos and photos. In addition, the blog designs and layouts were also planned. The research team decided that the blog should appear like a vintage and traditional look to have a unique and good outlook. The team has already decided and organized on everything but the problem is where the videos are.
SEARCH
After conceptualizing the blog design and layout, the group committed two days for searching about the topic Lihim ni Emilio.
Being in a technological generation where people are used to, the team used the internet to search some information. The group made a brief check from another blog just to look for some facts. The team went to the National Library to get more deeply point of view at the topic. Then, the team began the expedition to gain more knowledge about Lihim ni Emilio.
A Visit to a Nutritionist
The research team realized that since the topic was a dessert, it has its own nutritional content. By that, a visit to a nutritionist was planned.
The team thought that the hardest part in the project was talking with the tourism’s administrator but actually the hardest thing to do was looking for a nutritionist. Many rejected phone calls, rescheduled and rescheduled interviews and finally the team got one. Honestly, the team never thought that they can find one in the City Hall of Trece Martires because the team firstly decided to go in the City Health Center. A very kind gentleman saved the team as he led the team where they can find a nutritionist.
Nutritionist named Aurora Villalobos; a very garrulous person entertained the team. As the team asked questions to the nutritionist, Mrs. Villalobos gives back the question to the team. The team listened carefully and took videos as the nutritionist continues in speaking and speaking.
Meticulous Editing
One of the hardest parts of the project was the very meticulous editing of videos, pictures and the whole blog. The writers should always have their erasers on as the teacher-coaches help them in editing the write-ups. The writers had to come up with the appropriate or proper words all the time. Gratefully, the teacher-coaches were very helpful in editing the write-ups needed for the blog.
As for the videos and photos, the team decided to make use of photo and video editing software. For the photos, Kim Dennile N. de Leon and Patricia Jhane N. Baylon used the Adobe Photoshop CS3 and the photos were taken by Patricia also. On the other hand, Rennard Marquez as the videographer edited the videos by Sony Vegas Video Editing Software. Take note that Rennard Marquez is just a second year student but he showed his talent for the video to be more successful.
